A great instrument is not mere happenstance.

It is a result of meticulous planning, the right combination of quality materials, solid building techniques with proven structural design, and good execution on the part of the builder.

We build with an even, balanced tone in mind.  Each instrument is braced and voiced individually, to achieve the best balance of structural integrity and rich tone.

These time-tested techniques are applied to a design based on your unique playing style, and tonewoods chosen to produce the sound quality you crave.  The result is an instrument tailored to your exact needs.

“There are no lazy masterpieces.”

Inspired by a former professor at art school, we at Lindsay Guitars embrace the notion that "there are no lazy masterpieces."

Our hope is that the works of art we create will outlive us, bringing joy and inspiring the creative genius of musicians for years to come.  We believe that our instruments can help make the world a better place.

We have a sense of responsibility to the art of instrument making.  We want to insure that the tried  and true building techniques from the past live on into the future through our instruments. This is what drives each step of our process and we hope you will find inspiration in what we make.

Each Lindsay Guitars instrument is hand built and individually constructed to tease the most tone possible from the materials.

Off the shelf, factory made guitars have made huge strides in quality over the last 20 years; however, as a small workshop we are able to take the time to tone-tap each piece of wood, matching just the right top to the back and sides to create a superior tone.

We hand-tune the bracing to get the best sound from each guitar top, feeling and listening to the piece at each stage of the bracing process.  In short, a hand built guitar has had the attention to detail needed to craft one of the best sounding instruments you have ever played.
